Fleur Numérique – an interpretation of blooming nature.
Experimental documentation on how to bring nature into the digital dimension, without only imitating it. Can a computer-generated flower be as magical as its original?
Working with different tools allowed me to explore different stages of abstraction.
I started with sketching, photos, scans, and then went over to 3d modeling and animation. The next stage was code and real-time rendering. Real-time rendering gives the opportunity to interact. I choose gesture control as a form of interaction. You can move the flower via Leap Motion without coming to close to the vulnerability of nature.
