Reality Illusion

“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one” – Albert Einstein

With this work I wanted to translate the paradox concept of reality and illusion. Versus to individual perceptions, these phrases are used generalizing conditions of being. The misconception of reality and illusion being fixed states, hinders many people to understand, that their reality is a flexible, complex interaction between their decision and their environment. The illusion is defined as a deceptive appearance or impression, but for the person, experiencing the so-called deception, the illusion, becomes reality.

The set of stamps read the german phrases for reality and illusion.

Lasercut stamping block and handcrafted wooden shaft.

The main focus of this project was the typography, but I also wanted to give attention to the interaction of individuals with the stamps.
